CORE VALUES

The North East London & Essex Churches Football League (NEL&ECFL) is a Christian based Church League, founded 40 years ago (1982) by a collection of Churches from Highbury, Walthamstow, Wanstead and Chingford.

The main aims of the league are based on the fruits of the spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

Over the years, we have been able to witness to non-christians and this has always been at the heart of our vision for the league. Friendships, community and fellowship is what we represent and encourage through relationships formed on the pitch!

 Having played and been involved in football throughout my life, I have had a variety of experience in different leagues. However, the NEL&ECFL was by far the most enjoyable and well-managed league that I have been involved with for over 30 years.
